Do you sometimes feel like you're not good enough in life?

Depression in Men

Depression Treatment for Men in Elm Grove, WI

Maybe you’re feeling insecure in your relationship, or perhaps you’re questioning your capability as a partner or a parent . You might be feeling guilty you aren’t a better provider, or simply not living up to your expectations. Perhaps you’re feeling like a failure

Whatever hardships you're enduring, you’re noticing the impact of this in different areas of your life:
  • You’ve had more blow ups with your partner and you’re feeling bad about it,
  • You’re struggling to keep your cool when dealing with your kids
  • You’re not motivated in your work the way you’ve been in the past

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help

It may not feel likely now, but you can build the confidence you need to feel like yourself again. You can feel better about yourself. You can confidently pursue your goals. And I can help you get there.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you do three things:
  • Identify rational and objective ways to challenge negative thought patterns that are keeping you stuck
  • Recognize and shift behaviors that are contributing to this negative cycle including: how you cope, communicate, and respond to stressors
  • Understand the beliefs you have that are driving these thoughts/behaviors so you can become the confident, healthy man you want to be

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is about learning to apply logical concepts to your subjective experience and my approach is to help you troubleshoot these concepts to fit your unique needs. My approach to CBT comes from a genuine knowledge that it works because I’ve seen it be successful : both in applying these concepts to myself when I experienced my own depression and hardship, as well as with countless men I’ve worked with professionally who have seen the positive change.

You don’t have to live life feeling like you’re a failure and believing you’re not good enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if CBT will work for me?

Q: What are CBT sessions like?

A: CBT sessions are about learning concepts and applying them to your unique experience. Using CBT we can recognize how our thoughts and behaviors impact our emotions. My approach focuses on perspective taking using logic and objective reasoning - which tends to be less ‘touchy-feely’ than what you picture when you think of therapy.

A: CBT is a somewhat engaging approach, meaning there will often be things to think about or focus on in between sessions. While I make no guarantees, I firmly believe that if you’re willing to put in the effort to make positive changes CBT is going to help you with that.

Q: What is the initial session like?

A: The initial session is a little different than follow up sessions because it is important for me to gather information and get to know you and your circumstances. It is also a great time for you to ask any questions and share any information that is important for me know.

A: Reach out to me via the button below or give me a call at 414-207-4160. I’m happy to answer any questions and respond to any concerns you may have. If you’re ready to schedule, you can do so online with the 'Schedule a Session' button below.

Q: How do we get started?

I can help you change that.
